This year’s event comes at an exciting time for public transport in the MENA region, having embarked on an impressive agenda for public transport with more than $100 billion of public transport projects are under construction. The event will explore the emergence of innovative technologies as well as how to best address social and cultural barriers to using public transport and build a culture of public transport among non-captive segments. The 2018 theme is ‘pioneering for customer happiness’ – recognising that the customer is the core of public transport service and incorporates happiness not only satisfaction.
