Papercast Ltd opens a new office in Los Angeles, CA and teams up with industry expert, Jenni Evans, to meet rising demand from North American transit agencies. Jenni will support business development and operations as part of Papercast’s ongoing expansion of battery and solar powered e-paper displays.
Papercast® is the global leader in e-paper passenger information displays with deployments in 47 countries. Prominent projects include Bahrain, Finland, France, Germany, Madrid, Makkah, New Zealand, Poland, Qatar, the UK, and California, Florida, Washington, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Toronto in North America.
“In 2018, transit agencies still questioned whether e-paper was a viable investment, and now it’s just a question of who has the most reliable product with the best customer service,” said Jenni Evans. “Real-time displays have become an expectation for transit riders and e-paper is the clear preference. As for Papercast, I’ve worked with them for a number of years and their integrity is evident in all that they do. Their experience and success speaks for itself and I’m proud to be part of their continued growth.”
“Papercast has long had ambitions to expand its customer base in North America and replicate its market leading position in this region,” said Cameron Maconie, Head of Business Development at Papercast. “Jenni has a wealth of experience in both the transit and e-paper markets, and working with her will enable the continued, successful adoption of our technology.”
Using E Ink technology, e-paper is the most energy efficient display technology on the market, making it well aligned with the transit industry’s sustainability goals. It also offers great versatility as e-paper displays can be deployed in any location and run on solar power or long-life batteries. Papercast’s high resolution displays can share real-time information and dynamic messaging, as well as marketing and advertising content.
